Place your trash and recycling curbside on Tuesday evening for Wednesday pick up.

Bulk pick ups occur the last Wednesday of the month and yard waste is collected the last Saturday of the month.

All You Need to Know About

Trash Service Dublin Borough

Make sure to put your trash & recycle carts curbside for collection the night before your pick up day.

  • Whitetail carts must be used.
  • Your carts should be at least 3 feet clear of any other objects including other carts, mailboxes, cars, street signs, etc.
  • Wheels on your cart should be toward the house so that all materials are emptied.
  • Be sure trash is bagged and lids are closed to prevent spills.

We cannot take:

  • Hazardous waste including radioactive, reactive, toxic, ignitable, corrosive, or acidic items.
  • E-waste including televisions, computers, etc.
  • C & D including concrete, roofing, and other home remodeling debris.

Whitetail Disposal is providing a 96 gallon trash cart and a 64 gallon recycle cart to all borough residents.

Bulk Waste

Bulk Items are collected on the last Wednesday of the month and must be scheduled by phone or email prior to pickup.

Large items of refuse such as worn-out furniture, Freon-free appliances, and other household goods which can be handled safely by two people.

Mattresses and Toilets

For our employees’ safety:

  • Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped in plastic.
  • Toilets must be bagged.

Contact our Municipality Department by 12pm on the last Tuesday of the month to schedule:

Items Containing Freon

To dispose of items containing refrigerants residents must schedule pick up in advance and pay a $75 removal fee directly to Whitetail.

This includes freezer, refrigerator, air conditioner, dehumidifier, water cooler.

  • All doors must be removed prior to pick up.
  • These items cannot be picked up with the regular truck.

Recycling Services

Recyclables must be clean and dry.

Do not bag recyclables.

If your recycling is contaminated it will be handled as trash.

Shredded paper cannot be recycle. It clogs the recycling sorting line.

If paper is soiled or wet, compost or trash it.

Unacceptable Items

Plastic bags are not accepted as part of curbside recycling programs – they get tangled in equipment and threaten worker safety.

Plastic bags can be recycled at most grocery stores.

Plastic wrap, bubble wrap, sandwich bags and freezer bags should not go in the recycle bin.

Reuse whenever possible for presents, moving, or storage of similar items, or look for local options to recycle.

Flexible packaging like chip bags and juice or soup pouches cannot be recycled in curbside programs.

This type of packaging is made from multiple materials preventing it from being recycled.

Polystyrene foam, plastic “to-go” containers and cups are made of non-recyclable materials, and are not acceptable in the curbside recycling program.

Packing peanuts aren’t recyclable either, however some shipping stores will take peanuts back for reuse.

Yard Waste and Leaves

Pruning, branches, weeds, leaves, and general yard and garden wastes.

  • Yard waste should be bundled in neat bundles not exceeding 4-6 feet in length, with branches limited to no greater than 5 inches in circumference.
  • Leaves should be in compostable bags.
  • Yard waste collection will be the last Saturday of each month

Yard waste DOES NOT include grass clipping or stumps and branches larger than 4.5” in diameter. 

  • Trees from Christmas 2023 will be picked up: Saturday January 13th, 2024
  • Trees over 6′ tall should be cut in half.
  • All decorations must be removed.
  • Do not bag trees for pick up.

Commonly Asked Questions

Yes, all residents of the borough must use the provided Whitetail carts for trash and recycle.

Follow the link below for local resources.

DO NOT dispose of batteries in your trash or recycling.

Lithium batteries are highly flammable and potentially explosive.

Improper disposal is a major safety concern for the community and the disposal crew.

Bucks County provides safe disposal events throughout the year.

  1. Breakdown and flatten all boxes.
  2. Stack boxes neatly.
  3. Secure with tape or twine.

Bundles should be 4′ long x 1′ thick or less.

One (1) bundle per week can be put out next to the recycling cart.

Most regular household waste.

If you have anything unusual like construction material, paint cans, or appliances, please contact us first and we may be able to help you find a way to get rid of theses items.

We recommend you repurpose you personal can to be used for yard waste or storage

If you cannot repurpose your personal can you can put it out for collection on your trash day. It should be empty, marked with a red X, and place upside down to let the driver know you want it removed.
